Lynx Swimming Take Midwest Cup

The Lynx swimmers and divers were in action the last time in regular season competition at their home Invitational the Midwest Cup.  Both teams walked away as invite champions with the Lady Lynx taking down 2nd place Iowa Central 450 to 400, and beating 3rd place team Iowa Lakes 450 to 166. The mean beat Iowa Lakes 540 to 388 and beat Iowa Central 540 to 386.                                                                                                                                                                            

Top performers for the Lynx were Oakley Johns who won the 1650 freestyle, Madi Ewald who won her three individual events; 50 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle, and the 500 Freestyle. The women also won all 5 relays during the weekend.  

Coach Jordan said “The team has been working very hard this season. Seeing what we were able to do this past weekend against our first NJCAA competition for the season leaves me looking forward to some great swims when we are tapered for nationals in two weeks.” 

The Lynx Swimmers and divers will be in actions for the last time this season March 1-4 at the NJCAA Nationals Swimming and Diving Meet in buffalo, New York.
