LC Swimming & Diving Team Members Earn All-American Status at NJCAA National Championships
On March 4th – 7th, the Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving teams competed at the NJCAA National Championships in Buffalo, NY. The competition was tough, however, The Lynx had no trouble rising to the occasion.

Day 3 – Phoenix Fall Classic
Victor Mahnke, Jason McCoy, and David Carvajal each swam faster times in the Sunday evening session than they did in the morning; placing 8th, 7th and 7th respectively. Other Lynx swimmers who competed and scored points this evening session were Morgan Glendenning, Garrett Evans, and Brent Scaife.

What is it like to push your mind and body beyond expectations? Just ask four Lynx Swimmers and one Diver; each achieved Personal Records (PRS) this day in their events. Lakan Richardson, Jason McCoy, David Carvajal, Lewis Callihan and Cory Barnes finished the second day of the competition in record fashion.

Day 1 – Friday
Freshmen Lakan Richardson scored the first points for the Lady Lynx with an 11th place finish in the 1,650 Freestyle, a one-mile swim.

What does it take to break swim records?
What do college swimmers do for stress relief? Lynx’s teammates Joe Scribner and Victor Mahnke have very tight time schedules during the competitive swim season. A full course of swim practice, dry land workouts, team meetings, travel, classes and homework all add up to a great deal of stress in a week. A student-athlete quickly learns to become an efficient time manager or they end up overloaded and living on campus under a lot of pressure.

Former LC Swimmer Earns Big 12 Swimmer of the Year

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Big 12 Conference has announced that senior Bryce Bohman has been named the Men’s Swimmer of the Year. Bohman was the only athlete not from Texas to earn postseason honors, as the Longhorns swept the remaining postseason awards.
