Lynx Swimming and Diving Team beat Illinois College during home meet.

On Saturday, the Swimming and Diving swimming-10-29teams hosted Illinois College at home during their season opener.

The Lynx men’s team defeated Illinois College 130 to 82. Tyler Theis, Oakley Johns, and JD Keister swept the 200 yard free style placing first, second, and third respectively. Lincoln College’s Paul Elisa,the top point earner at the meet, took first in both of his events; 100 free style butterfly, and the 500 yard freestyle.

Sophomore and Lincoln, Illinois native, Madi Ewald led the women’s team defeating Illinois College 129 to 83.  Ewald placed first in the 200 yard freestyle and the 500 yard freestyle.

Lincoln College’s Coach, Johnathan Jordan said, “It was great to have the support of the home crowd this past weekend. The team is working hard and I am expecting a great season out of them.”

The Lynx Swimming and Diving team will be in action again Friday, November 4th at 6:00 PM at Millikan University.
